Золотий хрін-2019: відзнаку за найгірший опис сексу в сучукрліті отримав Василь Слапчук
Відзнаку за найгірший опис сексу в українській літературі цього року здобув письменник Василь Слапчук за твір «Роман& Роман». Про це оголосили на церемонії ввечері 19 січня, повідомляється на сторінці премії у фейсбуці.
Нагороджений твір вийшов у видавництві «Рідна мова» у серії «Великий роман».
Жартівлива премія «Золотий хрін» вручається цього року втретє. Участь у конкурсі беруть тексти, що вийшли друком протягом року. Серед членів журі – літературні критики Юрій Володарський та Тетяна Трофименко, письменниця Анна Малігон, засновниця проекту «Рагу.лі» Тетяна Микитенко та засновниця проекту «Непозбувна бентега» Вероніка Новикова.
Минулого року премію здобула Люко Дашквар за роман «Ініціація», а позаминулого – Любко Дереш за роман «Спустошення».

Ексдепутатові Микитасю не дозволили вилетіти з України – прикордонники
Колишній президент «Укрбуду» й екснародний депутат Максим Микитась намагався вилетіти з України, але правоохоронці завадили цьому, підтвердили Радіо Свобода у Державній прикордонній службі.
«Дана особа перебувала в аеропорту «Бориспіль», коли намагалася відлетіти з України. Усі обставини я назвати не можу, бо вони стосуються діяльності інших правоохоронних органів», – сказав помічник голови Державної прикордонної служби України, прессекретар ДПСУ Андрій Демченко.
Про які саме правоохоронні органи йдеться, він не уточнив, додавши лише, що їх «декілька».
У грудні колишньому президенту «Укрбуду» й екснародному депутату Максиму Микитасю продовжили запобіжний захід до 14 лютого 2020 року.
Він має носити електронний браслет, прибувати до детектива, прокурора, слідчого судді, суду за кожною вимогою, не відлучатися із населеного пункту, в якому він зареєстрований, проживає чи перебуває без дозволу правоохоронців чи суду.
Микитасю інкримінують махінації із житлом Національної гвардії на понад 81 мільйон гривень. Його підозрюють у привласненні, розтраті майна або заволодінні ним шляхом зловживання службовим становищем.
Максим Микитась – відомий столичний забудовник. Він є екскерівником державної корпорації «Укрбуд». Найскандальніший проект «Укрбуду» – житловий комплекс «Сонячна Рів’єра» на лівобережжі Києва.
Протягом жовтня 2019 року його двічі заарештовував Вищий антикорупційний суд. Востаннє він вийшов під заставу у 80 мільйонів гривень.

У Росії перенесли суд у красногвардійській «справі Хізб ут-Тахрір» – адвокат
Перше судове засідання по суті у Південному окружному військовому суді Ростова-на-Дону (Росія) у красногвардійській «справі Хізб ут-Тахрір» перенесли на невизначений термін, повідомив проєкту Радіо Свобода Крим.Реалії адвокат Рустем Кямілєв.
«Судом ухвалене рішення відкласти початок судового процесу по суті у зв’язку з тим, що одного з фігурантів красногвардійської групи – Рустема Емірусеінова – ще не доставили в СІЗО Ростова-на-Дону, через що він наразі не може взяти участь в судовому процесі», – розповів адвокат.
Раніше стало відомо, що Рустем Емірусеінов, Арсен Абхаіров і Ескендер Абдулганієв були вивезені з анексованого Криму.
У грудні 2019 року суд в Росії продовжив на пів року арешт фігурантів червоногвардійської «справи Хізб ут-Тахрір» – до 13 червня 2020 року.
У лютому 2019 року в будинках кримських татар в селищі Октябрське Красногвардійського району російські силовики провели обшуки. Пізніше в управління ФСБ в Сімферополі відвезли Ескендера Абдулганієва, Арсена Абхаірова і Рустема Емірусеінова.
ФСБ Росії стверджує, що затримані жителі Красногвардійського району причетні до діяльності забороненої в Росії і в анексованому нею Криму організації «Хізб ут-Тахрір».

ОГП повідомляє про нові обшуки у справі Гандзюк
Офіс Генерального прокурора заявив 20 січня про проведення спільно з СБУ обшуків «з метою відшукування додаткових доказів у кримінальному провадженні за фактом нападу на громадську активістку Катерину Гандзюк».
Окрім того, за даними ОГПУ,цього дня у Херсоні проводиться спецоперація з метою припинення діяльності організації, учасники якої підозюються у нападах на людейта підпалах чужого майна.
«Повідомлено про підозру керівнику злочинної організації, колишньому помічнику народного депутата України попередніх скликань. Слід зазначити, що обвинувальний акт щодо вказаної особи вже перебуває на розгляді Приморського районного суду м. Одеси з угодою про визнання його винуватості у заздалегідь не обіцяному приховуванні нападу на Катерину Гандзюк.Також повідомляється про підозру іншим членам злочинної організації», – йдеться у повідомленні на сайті відомства.
Чиновниця Херсонської міської ради, активістка Катерина Гандзюк померла 4 листопада 2018 року. Це сталося через три місяці після того, як її облили концентрованою сірчаною кислотою у Херсоні.
У справі про замах на Гандзюк були затримані підозрювані у виконанні і організації нападу, але замовників офіційно не встановили.
5 серпня набув чинності вирок п’ятьом особам, засудженим до позбавлення волі за вчинення нападу на херсонську активістку.
Як повідомили в СБУ, вони далі проводять слідство у межах п’яти кримінальних проваджень під процесуальним керівництвом Генпрокуратури.

Поліція склала адмінпротоколи за напад на антифашистську акцію у Києві
Поліція Києва повідомила, що відпустила всіх 11 затриманих під час акції проти ультраправого насильства на Михайлівській площі у Києві після того, як в учасників демонстрації кидали петарди.
«Після з’ясування усіх обставин та відібраних пояснень правоохоронці відпустили затриманих осіб. За вчинення правопорушень відносно них складено адміністративні протоколи за ст. 173 (Дрібне хуліганство) Кодексу України про адміністративні правопорушення», – мовиться у повідомленні на фейсбук сторінці відомства.
Як повідомили раніше у правозахисному центрі «Зміна», 19 січня близько 20 людей вийшли на акцію пам’яті адвоката Станіслава Маркелова та журналістки Анастасії Бабурової. Такі акції відбуваються у кількох країнах світу на знак протесту проти ультраправого насильства. Водночас, як зазначається, відбувався і контрмітинг, учасники якого намагалися кидати яйця в опонентів, а також підірвали дві петарди, коли ті йшли геть після завершення акції.
Тоді поліція заявила про затримання 11 осіб.
Станіслава Маркелова та Анастасію Бабурову вбили 19 січня 2009 року в Москві.
Російський суд у 2011 році засудив двох членів неонацистського угруповання за вбивства Маркелова і Бабурової. Микита Тіхонов отримав довічний термін ув’язнення, а його подруга, Євгенія Хасіс, 18 років в’язниці за співучасть у цих вбивствах.
Як Маркелов, так і Бабурова були відомими борцями проти ультра-націоналістичного насильства в Росії і неодноразово отримували погрози, пов’язані з їхньою діяльністю.

Поліція розслідує інцидент із пам’ятником жертвам Голокосту у Кривому Розі як «пошкодження майна»
Поліція Дніпропетровщини повідомила про відкриття провадження за фактом псування пам’ятника жертвам Голокосту у Кривому Розі.
За цими даними, розслідування ведеться за статтею «умисне знищення або пошкодження майна».
«Проводяться слідчі дії, спрямовані на встановлення всіх обставин злочину, а також затримання причетних до його скоєння осіб», – зазначається на сайті відомства.
19 січня посол Ізраїлю в Україні Джоел Ліон повідомив, що невідомі замалювали фарбою текст на пам’ятнику жертвам Голокосту в Кривому Розі та опублікував у своєму твіттері фотографію, звернувши увагу на те, що пошкоджений пам’ятник розташований неподалік від дому батьків президента України Володимира Зеленського.
14 січня Міністерство закордонних справ України заявило, що збереження історичної пам’яті про трагедію Голокосту в Україні і відновлення історичної справедливості і надалі «залишатимуться важливими напрямами державної політики України».

Зеленський розповів, чому поїде до Ізраїлю
Президент України Володимир Зеленський поїде до Ізраїлю, де візьме участь у заходах, присвячених 75-й річниці звільнення нацистського концтабору Аушвіц, попри те, що не зможе виступити там. Президент сказав про це в інтерв’ю The Times of Israel.
За словами Зеленського, він планував відвідування цього заходу, однак відклав остаточне підтвердження до того часу, як в Україну повернуться тіла загиблих внаслідок авіакататрофи в Ірані.
Зеленський додав, що було б справедливо, якби йому дозволили виступити на заходах в Єрусалимі.
«Для мене особисто неважливо, чи я виступатиму. Але так багато людей, які загинули внаслідок цієї трагедії (під час Голокосту – ред.), починаючи з Бабиного Яру, де стратили 150 тисяч українських євреїв. Статистична інформація, яку ми маємо, показує, що кожен четвертий з євреїв, які загинули під час Голокосту, був українцем. Для українців дуже важливо вшанувати жертв Голокосту. Тому, вважаю, було б справедливо, якби президент України виступив із промовою. Я знаю, що в ізраїльської сторони інший формат; нас не запросили виступати. Але в будь-якому випадку, я буду присутній на цій церемонії», – сказав Зеленський.
Заходи, присвячені 75-й річниці звільнення нацистського концтабору Аушвіц, відбудуться 22-23 січня в Єрусалимі.
У таборі «Аушвіц-Біркенау» в роки Другої світової війни, за оцінками, загинули понад мільйон людей, більшість з яких становили євреї.
Загалом під час Голокосту нацисти і їхні спільники вбили шість мільйонів євреїв.

За чотири роки кількість державного оборонного замовлення, яке виконують державні компанії, скоротилася вдвічі, повідомив в ефірі Радіо Свобода заступник генерального директора оборонного концерну «Укроборонпром» Мустафа Найєм .
За його словами, раніше державні компанії виконували 60% замовлень, а тепер – 30%.
«За чотири роки обсяг державного оборонного замовлення – частка державних компаній зменшилася вдвічі. За чотири роки війни, просто уявіть собі. Було 60%, а зараз 30%. Так, є приватні компанії, які добросовісно виконують свою роботу і ми їх дуже поважаємо і з ними співпрацюємо. Але є компанії, які виникли на тлі корупції і за рахунок блату чи зв’язків отримали замовлення, не виготовляючи продукцію або знищуючи при цьому державні компанії. Зараз результат дуже простий: було 60%, зараз 30%», – розповів Найєм.
Також він зазначив, що є багато випадків, коли «штучно підвищувалася ціна продукції держаних компаній для того, щоб вигравали приватні компанії».
«Всі ці речі не могли відбутися без контролю з боку РНБО, комітету національної безпеки і оборони Верховної Ради, міністерств економіки і оборони – ці чотири відомства, їхні керівники і ті люди, які були причетні до формування державного оборонного замовлення», – зазначив він.
Найєм додав, що його метою і завданням цього року є збільшити кількість оборонного замовлення для державних заводів.
«Цьогоріч вперше за десять років, коли частка державного оборонного замовлення для «Укроборонпрому» не буде зменшуватися, а ми спробуємо її збільшити. Навіть 5%, навіть 7% – це буде величезний прорив. Я вже не кажу, що ми розблокуємо декілька заводів: і Харківський, і Миколаївський, і декільк Київських, які почнуть виготовляти зброю, військову техніку і ми почнемо її експортувати і поставляти в нашу армію, що є першочерговим для нас завданням», – сказав він.

Катастрофа PS572: Іран передумав віддавати Україні чорні скриньки
Іран наразі не планує передавати чорні скриньки Києву. Про це заявив голова відділу розслідування інцидентів Організації цивільної авіації Ірану Хасан Резаїфер 19 січня, передає іранська державна новинна агенція IRNA.
«Бортові самописці з українського «Боїнгу» перебувають в руках Ірану і ми не плануємо їх відсилати», – цитують ЗМІ слова Резаїфера
Агенція Reuters наводить його заяву про те, що наразі іранські фахівці намагаються розшифрувати інформацію з чорних скриньок самотужки.

18 січня Хасан Резаїфер заявляв, що Іран планує передати Україні чорні скриньки з літака «Міжнародних авіаліній України». Як зазначала новинна агенція Tasnim, таке рішення було пов’язано з тим, що іранські фахівці нібито не могли зчитати дані з самописців.
17 січня Офіс генерального прокурора повторно звернувся до іранських служб із проханням надати чорні скриньки.
Літак Boeing 737-800NG авіакомпанії «Міжнародні авіалінії України» рейсу PS752 з Тегерану до Києва зазнав катастрофи невдовзі після вильоту з міжнародного аеропорту столиці Ірану вранці 8 січня. Загинули всі 176 людей, які були в літаку, – 167 пасажирів і 9 членів екіпажу. Серед загиблих – громадяни семи країн, у тому числі 11 українців (усі 9 членів екіпажу і 2 пасажирів). Уранці 11 січня в Ірані після кількох днів заперечень офіційно визнали свою вину за збиття українського літака силами своєї протиповітряної оборони, яке назвали помилковим, і взяли на себе повну відповідальність.

Davos Chief Welcomes Views of Trump, Greta Thunberg at Forum
The head of the World Economic Forum says it’s “reassuring” that U.S. President Donald Trump and climate activist Greta Thunberg will both return to its annual meeting in Davos this year, noting that concerns about the environment will be a key topic.
WEF founder Klaus Schwab sees vast changes in business, society and culture over the 50 years since he created the yearly gathering in the Swiss Alps, which initially was a forum for business leaders but now is a key stop for policymakers and activists as well.
Following another year of extreme heat, out-of-control wildfires and melting ice sheets, environmental issues are considered to be the top five long-term risks confronting the global economy, WEF said last week, citing a survey of more than 750 decision-makers.
It said catastrophic trends like global warming, climate change and the extinction of animal species would top the agenda at the meeting that begins Tuesday.
The forum is shifting its focus of recent years from how technology is transforming lives to the environment and responsible business practices that promote jobs, fight climate change and work for social good along with profit-making.
The focus on environment could make for an uncomfortable subject for Trump, whose administration has called for expanded use of carbon-spewing coal, stripped away environmental protections and played down concerns among scientists about man-made climate change. Trump has also moved to take the U.S. out of the landmark 2015 Paris accord to fight climate change.
Schwab says Trump is welcome because of his role on the world stage while Thunberg will keep the focus on the environment. Both will speak Tuesday on the opening day.
“I think both voices are necessary,” Schwab said Sunday in an interview with The Associated Press. “The environment will play a particularly important role during this meeting.”
Schwab pointed to the forum’s 160 “lighthouse” projects on inclusion and equality; economic development; technology governance; regional development; corporate leadership and ecology, including a project to plant a trillion trees.
“So if Greta comes this year, she will see that we have made substantial progress,” he said, alluding to her debut at the forum last year.Time magazine chose Thunberg as its “Person of the Year” for 2019.
Schwab claimed the forum has helped air concerns about the environment since the 1970s, but said public awareness about climate issues has now exploded.
“Now we have recognized the urgency, because we know the window to act [on climate change] is closing,” he said, adding he hoped to inject “this sense of urgency into the meeting.”
He said many companies are increasingly seeing the benefits of “ESG” — environmental, social and governance — concerns in their business models.
“Companies recognize … doing good … it’s a precondition for some long-term survival,” Schwab said.
On Friday, Schwab and the chairmen of Bank of America and Dutch nutrition company Royal DSM sent a joint open letter to corporate leaders on hand this year to set “a target to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner” if their companies haven’t done so already.
The forum chief said nearly all European Union leaders will be on hand this year, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel. He said the EU has a chance to lay out its vision for the future and turn the corner after three years of haggling over Britain’s departure from the bloc, which comes at the end of this month.
He also brushed aside critics who have faulted the forum as an overly exclusive vacation for the world’s out-of-touch elites.
“If I am particularly proud of something during the last 50 years, it is of having created many years ago the community of young leaders,” Schwab said, citing 10,000 young “Global Shapers” in over 400 cities who he said are engaged in issues on the ground. “We try — and I think quite successfully — to integrate the bottom-up, young generation very much.”
The Davos gathering has battled a reputation of being a haunt for the rich, powerful and famous over its five decades. Over the years, the forum has hosted celebrities like Hollywood stars Shirley Maclaine and George Clooney, Nobel Peace Prize laureates Shimon Peres and Yasser Arafat, and former South African presidents F.W. de Klerk and Nelson Mandela, and business gurus like Davos regular Bill Gates.

Найєм про свою зарплату: на руки буду отримувати «десь 140 тисяч»
Заступник генерального директора оборонного концерну «Укроборонпром» Мустафа Найєм заявляє, що його заробітна плата складає близько 140 тисяч гривень на місяць після вирахування податків. Про це він сказав в інтерв’ю Радіо Свобода.
«На руки я буду отримувати десь 140 тисяч, трошки менше. Це за відліком податків. Я просто хочу пояснити по зарплаті дуже одну історію. Зараз вся зарплата, яку отримує керівництво «Укроборонпрому», десь плюс 1% від усіх доходів, які має концерн», – сказав Найєм.
«Для розуміння, у нас 40 мільярдів доходів компанії. Ми щорічно даємо державі десь 7 мільярдів гривень податків. Десь 1 мільярд – це наші доходи. Але конкуренція у нас не з державним сектором України і не в державних компаніях України. 70% нашої продукції – це експорт. Нашими конкурентами є Lockheed Martin, Boeing і Airbus. Питання в тому, що ця компанія виробляє величезні гроші. І ми дійсно за 1% всіх витрат, які є в компанії, захищаємо наші компанії, ми якраз розробляємо для них і стратегічну мапу реформ», – додав він.
Раніше Найєм задекларував як свій дохід в «Укроборонпромі» за листопад суму в понад 300 тисяч гривень. Пізніше він уточнив, що це не постійна його зарплата. «Задекларував свій дохід за грудень. І він майже вдвічі нижчий за той, що я отримав в листопаді. Тому що не було ніколи «зарплати в 300 тисяч». Була одноразова виплата декількох премій і надбавок за попередній «волонтерський» період роботи в концерні», – написав він у фейсбуці 14 січня.
У листопаді стало відомо, що колишній народний депутат Мустафа Найєм став заступником генерального директора оборонного концерну «Укроборонпром».

Українські прикордонники не пропустили в Україну групу російських акторів, один із яких незаконно відвідував анексований Росією Крим, повідомляє Міністерство внутрішніх справ.
«В аеропорту Запоріжжя прикордонний контроль на в’їзд в Україну не пройшла група акторів з Росії. Вони прибули рейсом із Варшави. Під час оформлення стосовно одного з іноземців спрацювала база даних щодо вивчення додаткових обставин перетину ним державного кордону. Як встановили співробітники Держприкордонслужби, громадянин Росії незаконно відвідував окуповану його країною територію Криму. Прикордонники відмовили йому у перетині кордону, а також довели рішення про заборону в’їзду на територію нашої держави і проставили відмітку в паспортному документі», – йдеться в повідомленні.
Ще троє росіян не змогли пояснити доцільності й мети свого перебування в Україні, додали в МВС.
За даними міністерства, протягом минулого року прикордонники відмовили у в’їзді в Україну понад 7300 громадянам Росії, стосовно яких діяла заборона в’їзду чи які перевищили термін перебування в Україні, або стосовно яких була наявна інформація, що вони незаконно відвідували окуповані території.
Міністерство культури України веде перелік російських артистів, яким заборонено перетинати український кордон через загрозу національній безпеці.

Баканов: для СБУ розслідування причин катастрофи літака «МАУ» є пріоритетом
Розслідування причинно-наслідкового ланцюга подій катастрофи рейсу PS572 є пріоритетом для Служби безпеки, заявив голова СБУ Іван Баканов. Його слова наводить пресслужба відомства в день повернення до України тіл загиблих членів екіпажу та пасажирів-українців.
Баканов взяв участь у церемонії прощання із загиблими, яка пройшла в аеропорту «Бориспіль». На події були присутні також президент України Володимир Зеленський, прем’єр-міністр Олексій Гончарук, генеральний прокурор Руслан Рябошапка та представники уряду.
«Жахлива трагедія в Ірані забрала життя одинадцяти наших співвітчизників. І суспільство вимагає відповідей щодо дійсних причин цього горя та притягнення усіх винних до відповідальності. Для СБУ розслідування та встановлення причинно-наслідкового ланцюгу подій цієї катастрофи є пріоритетом», – заявив Баканов.
Він додав, що всі країни мають працювати разом, «аби мінімізувати в майбутньому навіть теоретичний ризик повторення подібних жахливих трагедій».
Служба безпеки України висловила співчуття родинам та близьким загиблих. Свої співчуття висловив також офіс президента Володимира Зеленського.
13 січня Служба безпеки України на виконання доручення Офісу генпрокурора порушила три кримінальні провадження щодо катастрофи українського літака в Ірані. Провадження стосуються порушення правил безпеки руху та експлуатації повітряного транспорту, умисного вбивства та умисного знищення майна.

Літак Boeing 737-800NG авіакомпанії «Міжнародні авіалінії України» рейсу PS752 з Тегерану до Києва зазнав катастрофи невдовзі після вильоту з міжнародного аеропорту столиці Ірану вранці 8 січня. Загинули всі 176 людей, які були в літаку, – 167 пасажирів і 9 членів екіпажу. Серед загиблих – громадяни семи країн, у тому числі 11 українців (усі 9 членів екіпажу і 2 пасажирів). Уранці 11 січня в Ірані після кількох днів заперечень офіційно визнали свою вину за збиття українського літака силами своєї протиповітряної оборони, яке назвали помилковим, і взяли на себе повну відповідальність.
19 січня в аеропорту «Бориспіль» відбулася церемонія прощання з громадянами України, які загинули внаслідок авіакатастрофи.

До кінця року «Укроборонпром» планує скоротити борги по зарплатам вдвічі – Найєм
Оборонний концерн «Укроборонпром» планує вдвічі скоротити заборгованість по зарплатам до кінця 2020 року, сказав в інтерв’ю Радіо Свобода заступник генерального директора Мустафа Найєм.
Таким чином він відповів на питання про плани щодо своєї діяльності. За словами Найєма, задачу щодо виплати боргів по зарплаті поставив генеральний директор концерну Айварас Абромавичус.
«Я не хочу говорити гучних слів. Давайте подивимося по кінцю року. Але зараз мета, яка стоїть, яку ставить перед нами гендиректор, по-перше, це соціальні умови наших працівників, тобто щоб люди отримували зарплату. Щоб ви розуміли, коли ми прийшли, було 43 компанії, які мали заборгованість по зарплаті, зараз їх 36», – сказав Найєм.
Таким чином, додав він, кількість компаній «Укроборонпрому», які мають борги перед своїми працівниками, дещо скоротилася.

У листопаді генеральний директор «Укроборонпрому» Айварас Абромавичус повідомив в інтерв’ю «Голосу Америки», що 43 компанії концерну мають борги по виплаті заробітної платні своїм співробітникам.

Germany Hosts Libya Summit in Bid to Curb Military Meddling
Germany is bringing together the key players in Libya’s long-running civil war in a bid to curb foreign military meddling, solidify a cease-fire and help relaunch a political process to determine the North African nation’s future. Chancellor Angela Merkel invited leaders from 12 countries as well as the United Nations, the European Union, the African Union and the Arab League to Sunday’s summit at the chancellery in Berlin. Germany’s months-long diplomatic drive seeks to bolster efforts to stop the fighting in Libya by U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and his envoy for Libya, Ghassan Salame.
Among those expected are Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Premier Giuseppe Conte, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Other countries invited are the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Algeria, China and the Republic of Congo.
Also invited are Libya’s two main rival leaders: Prime Minister Fayez Sarraj and Gen. Khalifa Hifter. Both will attend, according to German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas.
The chances of the summit producing any real progress are unclear, however. While getting the players to the table is an achievement, recent stepped-up outside support may have emboldened both sides not to compromise.
Since the 2011 ouster and killing of Libya’s longtime dictator Moammar Gadhafi, the country has sunk further into chaos and turmoil. Libya is divided into rival administrations, each with the backing of different nations: the U.N.-recognized government based in Tripoli, headed by Sarraj, and one based in the country’s east, supported by Hifter’s forces.
Hifter’s forces have been on the offensive since April, laying siege to Tripoli in an effort to capture the capital and battling militias aligned with the government. Hifter’s forces are backed by Egypt, Russia and the United Arab Emirates, while the Tripoli government has turned to Turkey for troops and weapons.
A truce brokered earlier this month by Russia and Turkey marked the first break in fighting in months.
Germany’s priority is to try to get the outside players that have interests in the conflict on the same page, stem the flow of weapons to Libya and ensure that the cease-fire sticks — creating space for U.N.-led efforts to re-establish a political process in Libya.
“At the Libya conference, we must see above all that the arms embargo is once again complied with — it has been agreed in principle at U.N. level but unfortunately not kept to,” Merkel said.
Germany is also keen to prevent Libyan fighting from further destabilizing the region, potentially setting off new waves of migrants seeking safety in Europe across the Mediterranean Sea.
Maas traveled to Libya to meet Hifter on Thursday. He said the general pledged to respect the cease-fire, even though he had left Moscow days before without signing a draft document setting out details of the truce. Sarraj did sign the document.
On Friday, however, powerful tribal groups loyal to Hifter seized several large oil export terminals along Libya’s eastern coast as well as southern oil fields in another challenge to the Tripoli government, which collects revenue from oil production. The National Oil Corporation said the move threatens to throttle much of the country’s oil production.
U.N. envoy Salame earlier this month demanded an end to all foreign interference in Libya, saying that a military solution is impossible and governments and mercenaries helping rival forces are hindering a political solution.
Despite the arms embargo against Libya, he said, weapons are being sold and given to Libyans, and “probably thousands” of mercenaries have been sent into the country, creating a “bleak” situation for millions of civilians.
German officials have been careful to keep expectations of Sunday’s summit in check.
“The conference is important, but it is a beginning, the start of a process,” spokeswoman Ulrike Demmer said.

Британська поліція зарахувала український тризуб до екстремістських символів – у посольстві обурені
Посольство України у Великій Британії вимагає від контртерористичної поліції вилучити з переліку екстремістської символіки український герб. Про це в посольстві заявили 19 січня.
Дипломатична установа звернула увагу на оприлюднений журналістами посібник для вчителів та медиків, де серед прикладів символів праворадикальних рухів зазначене й татуювання у вигляді тризуба.

«Додавати тризуб, закріплений в Конституції національний символ і державний герб України до «Посібника з протидії екстремізму», який контртерористична поліція видала для вчителів та медичного персоналу – це більш ніж обурливо. Жодні виправдання неприйнятні. Ми вимагаємо вилучити тризуб з посібника та офіційних вибачень», – йдеться в заяві посольства.
17 січня британське видання Guardian опублікувало перелік екстремістської символіки, укладений контртерористичною поліцією Об’єднаного королівства. Серед прикладів «праворадикальних символів» можна знайти татуювання у вигляді українського тризуба, а серед переліку угруповань «білих супремасистів» – шеврон українського батальйону «Азов».
Крім того, увагу ЗМІ привернули й інші деталі переліку – наприклад, посібник містить розділ «Групи та символи захисту довкілля», до якого увійшли організації із захисту довкілля Greenpeace та Extinction Rebellion.
Восени 2019 року 39 американських конгресменів закликали внести батальйон «Азов», який є полком Національної гвардії України, до переліку терористичних організацій. Самі «азовці» назвали це звернення «інформаційною атакою на Україну.»

Водохреще: ДСНС обіцяє роботу 3 тисяч рятувальників біля місць купання
Під час купань з нагоди Водохреща біля водойм чергуватиме понад три тисячі рятувальників і 590 одиниць техніки, анонсують у Державній службі з надзвичайних ситуацій. За повідомленням відомства, в кожному регіоні України визначені офіційні місця, де безпечно купатися.
Попри те, що температура у січні вище за звичайну, у ДСНС попереджають про можливі небезпеки, пов’язані з купанням у відкритих водоймах.
«Зважаючи також на відсутність криги, громадяни вважають, що така тепла зима – запорука безпечного пірнання на Водохреще. Проте така думка є хибною, і купання на незамерзлих водоймах потребує більшої уваги до заходів безпеки», – йдеться в повідомленні.

У ДСНС закликають занурюватися тільки в спеціально обладнаних місцях під наглядом медиків та рятувальників. Також радять розігріти тіло перед купанням, не занурюватися у воду з головою, не перебувати у воді довше хвилини. Після купання бажано не триматися безпосередньо за металеві поручні, розтертися махровим рушником, вдягнутися в сухе і випити гарячого чаю або узвару.
Про перелік місць для безпечного купання зокрема в Києві Київська міська державна адміністрація повідомила 15 січня.
17 січня Український гірометцентр повідомив, що погода на вихідні 18 і 19 січня очікується суха, без опадів, з температурою вночі 1-6 морозу, вдень 0-5 тепла.

Один військовий загинув протягом доби на Донбасі, 10 поранені – штаб
Один український військовослужбовець 18 січня загинув внаслідок обстрілів бойовиків на Донбасі, ще десятеро отримали поранення, повідомляє штаб Операції об’єднаних сил.
За даними штабу, незаконні збройні угруповання шість разів протягом доби порушували режим припинення вогню, в тому числі із застосування забороненого Мінськими домовленостями озброєння та безпілотників.

«Чотири ворожі обстріли було зафіксовано у районі відповідальності оперативно-тактичного угруповання «Схід», а саме: поблизу населеного пункту Піски – зі стрілецької зброї; поруч з Красногорівкою – зі станкового протитанкового гранатомету – 16 пострілів та озброєння БМП-1; неподалік Павлополя – з БПЛА противник скинув два гранатометні постріли ВОГ-17 калібру 30 міліметрів; в районі населеного пункту Василівка – зі стрілецької зброї», – йдеться у зведенні.
Крім того, обстріли з мінометів калібру 120 міліметрів, великокаліберних кулеметів та іншої стрілецької зброї зафіксували поблизу Оріхового в районі оперативно-тактичного угруповання «Північ».
З початку доби в штабі ООС не фіксували обстрілів з боку бойовиків та втрат серед українських військових.
Незаконне збройне угруповання «ДНР» звинувачувало Об’єднані сили в обстрілі окупованої ним території напередодні. Аналогічне угруповання «ЛНР» таких заяв наразі не робило.
Збройний конфлікт на Донбасі триває від 2014 року після російської окупації Криму. Україна і Захід звинувачують Росію у збройній підтримці бойовиків. Кремль відкидає ці звинувачення і заявляє, що на Донбасі можуть перебувати хіба що російські «добровольці».
За даними ООН, від березня 2014-го до 31 жовтня 2019 року унаслідок збройного конфлікту на Донбасі загинули 13 000 – 13 200 людей.

Forces loyal to Libyan military strongman Khalifa Haftar blocked oil exports from the war-ravaged country’s main ports Saturday, raising the stakes on the eve of an international summit aimed at bringing peace to the North African nation. The move to cripple the country’s main income source was a protest against Turkey’s decision to send troops to shore up Haftar’s rival, the head of Tripoli’s U.N.-recognized government, Fayez al-Sarraj. Hello, life as — almost — ordinary civilians.Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, are quitting as working royals and will no longer use the titles “royal highness” or receive public funds for their work under a deal announced Saturday by Buckingham Palace.The palace said Harry and Meghan will cease to be working members of the royal family when the new arrangements take effect within months, in the “spring of 2020.” They will be known as Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.The couple will no longer use the titles His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness, but they are not being stripped of them.
